Learning Objective(s)

  • Students will be able to identify and recognize the letters of the alphabet using felt letters.

Materials Required

  • Red Felt

  • Yellow Felt

  • Green Felt

  • Blue Felt


Other tools and materials:

  • Rotary Blade

  • Sewing Machine

  • Thread

Instructions

  • Cut the felt pieces using the rotary blade attachment for your Cricut Maker.

  • Stack the two pieces of each letter together and sew using coordinating colors.

Assessment

  • Students will complete a worksheet where they match felt letters to corresponding pictures of objects that start with each letter. Mastery will be demonstrated by correctly identifying at least 80% of the letters.
