Learning Objective(s)

  • Students will be able to add numbers within 1-5 using various strategies and represent their thinking with objects and drawings.

Materials Required

  • White Kraftboard

  • Cardstock in desired color

Other tools and materials:

  • Scoring Tool
  • Black Pen
  • Red Marker
  • Glue

Instructions

  • Load kraftboard and cardstock into the machine and draw and cut the design.

  • Layer and glue the kraftboard to the top of the cardstock.

Assessment

  • Students will complete a worksheet where they will solve simple addition problems (e.g., 2 + 3, 1 + 4) using pictures and number sentences. Their ability to show their thinking through drawings and correctly solve the problems will indicate mastery of the objective.
