Create this layered learning tool to teach students the different parts of the human ear.

Learning Objective(s)

  • Students will be able to identify and describe the major parts of the ear and explain their functions.

Materials Required

  • Red Cardstock

  • Yellow Cardstock

  • Blue Cardstock

  • Green Cardstock

  • Purple Cardstock

  • Clear Acetate

  • Kraftboard


Other tools and materials:
  • Black Pen or Marker

  • Glue

  • Binder Ring

Instructions

  • Cut and draw the images on the cardstock and acetate pieces using your Cricut machine.

  • Layer the ear pieces and glue to the acetate, aligning where the drawn ear image is on the kraftboard sheet.

  • Attach together with the binder ring.

Assessment

  • Students will complete a labeled diagram of the ear, identifying major components (outer
    ear, middle ear, inner ear) and describing their functions in 2-3 sentences.
