Learning Objective(s)

  • Students will be able to identify and describe the planets in our solar system, including their characteristics and order from the sun.

Materials Required

  • Cardstock in various colors.


Other tools and materials:

  • Glue

Instructions

  • Cut out the cardstock pieces and glue together the planets and names.

  • Attach the planets, names, border, and stars to a bulletin board.

Assessment

  • Students will create a visual representation (poster or digital presentation) of the solar system that includes each planet, its order from the sun, and at least three key characteristics of each planet.
