Description of Cricut Lesson & Activity

Create these Math Ten Frames Numbers Cards to help teach and reinforce early numeracy skills including identifying numbers, one-to-one correspondence, and number sequencing by utilizing ten frames. Hang them in a classroom as a visual reference while counting, or use them in a Math Rotation Station for independent practice.

Learning Objective(s)

  • Students will be able to identify and recognize numbers from 1 to 20.

Materials Required

  • Heavy Cardstock in desired colors


Other tools and materials:
  • Cricut Permanent Marker/s in desired colors

Instructions

  • Load cardstock into the machine to cut and draw the project.

  • Optional: Using velcro precut peel and stick dots, add velcro to the circle counters and the ten frames to create a hands-on activity for using the number cards.

Assessment

  • Students will complete a number identification worksheet where they will match numbers with corresponding groups of objects (e.g., match the number 3 with a picture of 3 apples). This assessment will measure their ability to recognize and associate numbers with quantities.
